چیئرمین او پی ایف جی مہر اختر ظہیر نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ اوورسیز پاکستانی سیاست کا نہیں ریاست کا اثاثہ ہیں ، ہمیں ریاست کے ساتھ مل کر کام کرنا چاہیے تاکہ ملک ترقی و خوشحالی کی طرف گامزن ہو ۔

عشائیہ سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے چئیر مین او پی ایف سید قمر رضا نے کہا کہ اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کےلئے ہم نے اکٹھے ہونا ہے ، اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کو موبائل پر ٹیکس ختم کرایا جائیگا ، حکومت کو باور کروایا ہے کہ جو ممالک دو ارب ڈالر دیتے ہیں انکے حکمرانوں کو ریڈ کارپٹ استقبال کیا جاتا ہے جو اوورسیز تیس ارب ڈالر بھیجتے ہیں انکا ریڈ کارپٹ استقبال کیوں نہیں کیا جاتا ، انکا کہنا تھا کہ اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کی پارٹی انکا ملک پاکستان ہے اسکے بعد کوئی سیاسی پارٹی ہے ، ہم اپنے ملک کےلئے جان دیتے ہیں ، اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کی عزت بڑھائینگے ، ان کی اسمبلیون میں نمائندگی حاصل کرینگے ، سید قمر رضا کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ میری کوشش ہوگی کہ ریٹائرڈ ہونیوالے اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کو ملک کے اندر سہولت فراہم کی جائیگی تاکہ وہ باقی ماندہ زندگی آسانی سے گزار سکیں

عشائیہ میں نیویارک ، نیوجرسی او پی ایف جی کمیونیٹی نے بھرپور شرکت کی ، عشائیہ سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے ممبران نے مہر اختر ظہیرکا شکریہ ادا کیا جہنوں نے انکو اکٹھے بیٹھنے ، اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کے مسائل کو سننے اور اس کے حل کا موقع فراہم کیا ،

چیف آرگنائزر ملک محمد سلمان کا کہنا تھا کہ ہم ملک سے باہر ملک کی خدمت کررہے ہیں اور خدمت جاری رکھیں گے ، اوورسیز کمیونٹی کی ویلفیئر کےلئے ملک کے مقتدر حلقوں کو کردار ادا کرنا ہوگا ۔

وائس چیئرمین او پی ایف جی شکیل شیخ نے کہا کہ ہم اپنے وطن سے دور وطن کے سفیر ہیں ، ملک کے نام کو مزید روشن کرینگے

عشائیہ سے خطاب میں کمیونٹی رہنما نگہت خان نے کہا کہ اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کا پاکستان کی معیشت میں بڑا حصہ ہے ہمیں وہ مقام نہیں دیا جاتا جسکے ہم لوگ حقدار ہیں تاہم ہم اپنی خدمت جاری رکھیں گے ،

برطانیہ سے آئے ہوئے مہمان افضل چوہدری نے اوورسیز کے مسائل پر روشنی ڈالی ، شکیل شیخ نے بھی اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کو وطن واپسی پر پیش ہونیوالے مسائل اور انکا حل پیش کیا ،

عشائیہ میں فلآڈلفیا سے قمر چوہدری ، اٹلانٹک سٹی سے انجم ضیاء ، عامر بٹ ، ایلن ٹاون سے ملک رضا، نیو جرسی سے چوہدری ظفر سپرا ، عرفان صاحب ، نوید بھٹی ، سینئر وائس پریذیڈنٹ طاہر سندھو ، جنرل سیکرٹری میاں اطہر ، اے پی پیک کے اسد چوہدری اور شاہی پیلس کے مالک میاں جاوید نے شرکت کی۔

عشائیہ میں پاکستان سے آئے ہوئے سینئیر صحافیوں ، اینکر پرسن انور رضا ، ایک نیوز کے بیورو چیف غلام مرتضی ، وائس آف امریکہ کے نمائندہ خصوصی علی فرقان ، نیوجرسی سے سینئر صحافی ناصر قیوم سمیت فورتھ پلر کے صدر فاروق مرزا نے بھی شرکت کی

اوورسیز پاکستانی گلوبل فاؤنڈیشن کہ وفد نے چیئرمین ظہیر اختر مہر کی قیادت میں ڈی جی ائی ایس پی ار سے ملاقات کی جس میں دنیا کے مختلف ممالک سے اوورسیز پاکستانیوں کے نمائندگان نے حصہ لیا فرانس سے زہد ہاشمی لندن سے سماپ خالد دبئی سے چوہدری عثمان اختر سعودی عرب سے خالد چیمہ صاحب سپین سے عمران اختر مہر اور لیگل ایڈوائزر شراز خان نے شرکت کی جس میں اوورسیز کنونشن 2024 سالانہ کنکشن منعقد کرانے کے بارے میں بات چیت ہوئی تاریخ کا اعلان انے والے دنوں میں کر دیا جائے گا کنونشن اکتوبر کے اخری ہفتے میں ہوگا جس کے اندر وزیراعظم پاکستان اور اعلی حکومتی عہدے داران متعلقہ تمام اداروں کے سربراہان شامل ہوں گے یہ تین روزہ کنونشن حکومت وقت کے ساتھ مل کر ہوگا تمام اوورسیز پاکستانیوں سے شرکت کی اپیل کی جاتی ہے

OPGF Joins Historic Conference on Gender Empowerment and Green Economy

OPGF had the honor of participating as a delegate in the Regional Parliamentarians Conference on Gender Empowerment for a Green Economy. This significant event brought together representatives from 23 countries, making it a momentous occasion in advancing gender equality and sustainable development.

The conference marked a historic milestone, being the first of its kind since the landmark gathering held in Kahira in 1994. OPGF is proud to be part of this collaborative effort, working with international parliamentarians to drive forward meaningful policies that promote gender empowerment while fostering a greener, more sustainable global economy.

Chairman OPGF Akhtar Zahir Maher and Vice Chairman Sheikh Shakil met with sitting Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwar ul Haq Kakar and talked about the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis also invited him to the overseas convention which will be held by OPGF on 30th January 2024 in Jinnah Convention Center Islamabad.

A delegation from the Overseas Pakistanis Global Foundation (OPGF) recently met with senior officials at the Inspector General’s Office in Islamabad to discuss the establishment of a dedicated Overseas Desk aimed at facilitating the needs and concerns of overseas Pakistanis.

The meeting focused on creating a streamlined system that will assist overseas Pakistanis in resolving issues related to property, legal matters, and other concerns that require attention from authorities back home. By setting up this Overseas Desk, OPGF and the Islamabad police are working towards ensuring that overseas Pakistanis have direct access to efficient, reliable support, and quick resolutions to their problems.

This initiative represents a significant step forward in strengthening ties between overseas Pakistanis and their homeland, ensuring that their rights and interests are protected. OPGF remains committed to advocating for the global Pakistani diaspora, and this partnership with the IG Office is an important milestone in our ongoing efforts.

Our Chairman had the privilege of engaging with influential figures such as Wajid Khan (Member of the European Parliament), Imran Hussain (British-Pakistani MP), Baron Hussain (Member of the House of Lords), Qurban Hussain , and Malik Suleman. Together, they discussed policy initiatives aimed at safeguarding the interests of overseas Pakistanis and ensuring that their voices are heard on an international platform.

As a leading organization, OPGF is committed to advocating for the rights of Pakistanis living abroad. We continue to work tirelessly for their empowerment and to secure their rightful place in global discussions on immigration, social justice, and representation.
